Our History

The birth of Hope Law Group, P.C. dates back to 1990.

​

Attorney Youngok Kim, a respected elder in the Korean-American community, founded the Law Offices of Youngok Kim in 1990. She grew the Law Offices of Youngok Kim into the most trusted immigration law firm in the community through her meticulous work and unwavering dedication.

​

In 2003, the Law Offices of Youngok Kim transitioned to the law firm Youngok S. Kim & Associates and became one of the largest immigration law firms in Southern California. (From 1990 to 2021, Attorney Kim handled approximately 30,000 immigration cases.)

In 2018, Youngok S. Kim & Associates merged with the Law Offices of Steven Jeau, forming the current Hope Law Group, P.C. Since 2018, Attorneys Youngok Kim and Steven Jeau have co-led Hope Law Group. In November 2021, Attorney Kim retired after a legal career spanning nearly 40 years, and since then Attorney Steven Jeau has been leading Hope Law Group.

In the summer of 2023, Hope Law Group relocated from the Radio Korea building in Los Angeles, where it had been based for 31 years, to Buena Park.

Starting in the summer of 2024, Hope Law Group has been collaborating with top attorneys in personal injury, discrimination, criminal, and labor law fields to provide the best legal services in these areas for our clients.
